Update on Most Recent Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) Local Activity

  • The percentage of ED visits last week (Week 49) that were related to ILI was 1.78%. This is “moderate” and is slightly elevated for this time of year.

  • In Marion County hospitals’ ED population, ILI was most common in the 0-4 age group. Among ED visits by 0-4 year olds, 4.88% were for ILI. ILI among ED visits by 5-17 year olds was next highest, at 2.58%.

  • The percentage of ILI related ED visits was 1.44% (“moderate”).

  • Children age 0-4 had the highest age-specific percent ILI (3.60%).
