  • Marion County Public Health Department 4012 North Rural Street Indianapolis, IN, 46205 United States

Simple Treatment and Rapid Triage (START), originally developed by the Newport Beach, California Fire Department, is a standardized and widely applicable triage methodology that enables responders to effectively and efficiently evaluate and prioritize victims during a mass casualty incident (MCI). This course will offer a detailed overview of START triage as well as its pediatric equivalent, JumpSTART. During the course, participants will develop the skills for making a rapid assessment of the patient, determine which category the patient should be in and visibly identifying the patient for treatment. This training is designed for prehospital personnel, first responders and other healthcare professionals.
